Recruiting Specialist

Vaco is seeking recent college graduates or entry level candidates for an immediate opening as a Recruiting Specialist. The Recruiting Specialist will be primarily responsible for sourcing qualified candidates based on job requisitions from our many clients in the accounting and finance industry. This is a full-time, entry level position with a salary + commission compensation structure. We are looking for the brightest and sharpest talent to join our collaborative recruiting team. New college graduates are welcome but you must have a college degree to apply. We are looking for outgoing, energetic self starter personalities, as they have proven to be the most successful in our competitive environment.

  • Recruitment and engagement of candidates in conjunction with active job requisitions
  • Aggressive sourcing and establishment of candidates/ candidate pools based on the specific skills, compliance and geographic requirements of requisitions received.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Scour job search websites for potential recruits and contact those candidates personally
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting referral networks, and using newsgroups and job sites
  • Conducting initial phone screens to validate a candidates credentials
  • Arranges interviews by coordinating schedules; arranging travel, etc. with key members of the Vaco team
  • The majority of these requisitions are very time sensitive, so a key aspect of the position will be to be able to source and recruit multiple positions in a very timely manner. Additional responsibilities will include the execution of a full cycle evaluation, qualifying and interviewing process for potential candidates.

  • A bachelor's degree is required
  • The candidate must have an excellent ability to source qualified candidates, be engaging and confident over the phone and via email communication.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office suite (MS Word and Outlook are used daily).
  • Ability to pick up technology packages including Applicant Tracking System, Boolean searches on job boards, LinkedIn, as well as "outside of the box" recruiting strategies and sources.
  • A strong ability to multitask and work on multiple positions at once is a vital part of this role as well as being organized and flexible.
