Job Description

JOB TITLE: Financial Manager

Reports to International Finance Director. Directly supports the North American Business Managers and associated Product Managers. One direct report - Sr. Financial Analyst.

DUTIES:

1. Develop and prepare monthly reporting metrics, including dashboards and analysis reports.
2. Lead/support plant accounting to ensure all policies are followed; provide guidance and leadership to plant.
3. Primary contact for Product Managers, Sales teams and requests for analysis.
4. Lead effort to improve business processes, more value added versus record keeping;
5. Influence and improve business decisions by providing financial analysis and bringing new tools and techniques.
6. Active participation on the business leadership team.
7. Coordinate and optimize the process for collecting and presenting key financial and business indicators for monthly reporting and analysis, including the monthly preparation of the regional forecast.
8. Provide financial leadership to business; develop financial training as necessary for each aspect of the business.
9. Liaison with global business managers to ensure consistency in worldwide results.
10. Direct financial operations of the business.
11. Formulate annual budget and five-year strategic plan, with detailed sales and expense forecasts; identify targets for profit improvement, both short and long term for the businesses.
12. Analyze all cost/performance measures for manufacturing sites; review yields and fixed costs and assist in leading productivity improvement programs.
13. Provide financial management control of business assets and ensure all business processes are continually monitored to safeguard assets and improve business performance.
14. Lead and participate in project teams
15. Independently develop profit improvement initiatives
16. Manage the capital investment portfolio

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* 7-10 years of Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing business required
* Finance or Accounting Bachelor's Degree required; MBA/CPA preferred
* 3 years of management experience preferred
* Advanced MS Excel experience required,
* SAP experience required
* Cost accounting knowledge; Analytical capabilities and experience: Project Leadership skills
* Ability to act as a change agent within the business
* Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks; Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Self-directed, proactive, demonstrates initiative
* Experience interacting and advising senior level business management.
* Experience working within an international company
