Vaco has an exclusive opportunity to find a Revenue Cycle Specialist for a growing medical services firm in Midtown, Atlanta area.
The Revenue Cycle Specialist works under the supervision of the Revenue Cycle Manager to ensure end to end timely and accurate submission and follow-up of claims. In this position you will be an ambitious hands-on problem solver and an effective communicator that will support the achievements of your team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team with a large, established revenue cycle team! Pay range is $18-$20 per hour depending upon experience.


  • Provide expertise or general claims support by reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims
  • Immediate follow up on all denials and partial payments
  • Review contract or payer memos, bulletins, and updates as appropriate
  • Use client logging to track efforts to collect on aged accounts, follow up on authorizations, and other important client-related correspondence
  • Follow up on authorization problems with Supervisor or outside agency as required
  • Ensure accuracy of funding source information for clients
  • Assure that agency invoices and claims are completed accurately and sent according to claim deadlines
  • Reconcile billing issues- research and investigate claims which are not being paid (i.e. aged over 60 days or more) and be persistent until claim issue is resolved
  • Researches explanation of benefits (EOBs) and/or denials in order to assist clients and explain balances
  • Send records to payers as requested
  • Process secondary claims billing
  • Enter, verify, send and receive billing files through dedicated clearinghouse


  • Prefer 2+ years' experience in medical claims/billing or within the revenue cycle
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of office software including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Communicates in a clear and professional manner
  • Demonstrates fairness in handling client issues
  • Participates as a team player to meet agency and department goals
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
