Job Description

Key purpose of role

Responsible for the implementation of SaaS Finance Systems from concept through to post-implementation continuous improvement and benefits realisation. This role must also ensure alignment to the overarching Global Finance Transformation journey across organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall implementation of new SaaS ERP Technologies related to the Finance Transformation initiative
  • Incorporate enterprise technology experience to align the implementation to best practices
  • Facilitate software and vendor selection; lead early scoping definition and identification of critical dependencies
  • Provide direction and final decisions regarding system requirements and configurations
  • Develop and maintain system controls for effective administration
  • Provide governance over SaaS ERP system structure and design
  • Ensure integration points and data standards are designed according to best practices
  • Design and manage the post implementation operations model for the new technologies
  • Develop strong and purposeful relationships with Senior Finance and IT Stakeholders to translate the business's needs into system requirements
  • Coach and mentor system team members and partner with external resources to deliver on an aggressive timeline and ensure business value is achieved
  • Pro-actively resolve issues and provide risk mitigation
  • Identify IT team resource needs -- building and structuring a high-performing system team with clearly defined roles
  • Manage third-party implementation resources; partner relationships with a view to ensuring internal capability and knowledge is retained
  • Create a positive and collaborative work environment within the Technology team

Skills / experience required

  • 7+ years experience of working with finance business systems; SaaS experience preferred
  • Experience with global implementations of a new system
  • Day-to-day team management expertise of technical teams
  • Demonstrates capabilities to resolve complex functional and technical issues
  • Awareness of Global Enterprise Finance and Accounting standards
  • Strong people leader - able to motivate, engage, inspire, empower and drive project team to deliver, dissolving conflicts and facilitating positive behaviours and team mentality
  • Willingness to travel (at times extensively) over varying periods as dictated by project needs
  • Facilitator, problem-solver, excellent communicator
  • Innate ability to create order out of chaos
  • Exceptional multi-tasker able to prioritise and re-organise activities
  • Excellent stakeholders engagement and influencing skills at all levels
  • Ability to handle simultaneous tasks and demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive issues and tasks to successful completion
