Job Description

The Area:
The Global Productivity and Sales Tools team drives revenue through scaled global initiatives, which typically involve using technology to improve critical sales processes. We provide the thought leadership for our Sales tools, and partner with multiple Engineering teams to deliver on these visions.

This role will partner with the larger Sales Knowledge team, which is responsible for curating and maintaining the global content repository of all Sales knowledge, in addition to keeping users informed about that content.

The Role:
The Sales Newsletter Editor is responsible for ensuring that updates related to our advertising products and solutions are communicated in an effective and timely manner to our Sales teams via the global newsfeed. The Editor will manage incoming submissions, editing, and publication process, working closely with content providers and end users to quickly rectify impending issues, respond to feedback, and deal with technical issues as they arise. The editor will also own various content consolidation processes to help streamline overall Sales communication.

Minimum Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree, or four years of experience in a writing/editing capacity
* Excellent written communication and copy editing skills
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and to manage stakeholder interests
* Strong process and time management skills and experience working under strict deadlines
* Ability to tactfully communicate with users on both the submitter side to explain editorial changes, as well as on the reader side to assist with technical issues or explain the system's functionality

Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree in journalism, communications, creative writing, or English.
* 1 - 2 years copywriting or editing experience.

Responsibilities:
* End to end execution of the sales newsletter process including reviewing and editing submissions, making modifications with submitters, prioritizing updates, and preparing for publication.
* On a daily basis, edit all incoming newsletter submissions, ensuring that they are clear, compelling, and grammatically accurate.
* Refine incoming updates to ensure their tagging and categorization is accurate.
* Communicate directly with submitters to field last-minute modifications and explain editorial changes.
* Manage the curation of content for the homepage of knowledge repository on a weekly basis.
* Help readers and submitters with technical, system-related issues as they arise.
* Collaborate with internal teams to prepare the weekly reminder email for the sales newsletter
* Creatively draft text to entice readers to view the sales newsfeed via the weekly reminder email.
* Assist the larger team with reviewing various other forms of content including checking document tagging for accuracy, reviewing content to ensure correct templates are used, etc..
* Various projects related to the sales newsletter and knowledge repository on an as-needed basis.
