Our Client located in Plainfield is looking to add to their sales team.

JOB SUMMARY:

Represent Client in developing rapport and business relationships with targeted leads and prospects. Identifies and pursues new business opportunities focusing on needs. Solicits, receives, and processes RFQs, orders, and other service requests from customers. Provides quotations on custom items, accurately identifies customer needs to provide the ideal solution. Provides follow-up and relays pertinent product and order information to customers. Strives to create and develop new business through prospecting and on-site sales activities. Coordinates with other departments in the handling of purchase orders and customer requests as necessary. Has the primary contact responsibility for all leads and prospects gathered as a result of marketing campaigns and activities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receives RFQs, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from prospects and customers.
  • Develops and maintains rapport with customers and works to provide them exceptional service.
  • Maintains active communications with customers regarding all aspects of products and orders.
  • Works in conjunction with the other departments to resolve any issues or delays.
  • Uses the company software system to maintain and retrieve customer information, research stock status information and the status of customer orders, and update customer order information as requested.
  • Ensures that correct codes and information are utilized in the company software system and all standard operating procedures are followed to complete each process.
  • Fully understands specific customer situations and product usage to ensure correct items are being quoted, manufactured, and sold.
  • Performs follow-up contact with prospects and customers to maintain sales growth and customer retention.
  • Seeks opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell ensuring serves the customer fully in a "One-Stop-Shop" capacity.
  • Participates in the continuation and development of the team culture in Sales.
  • Carries our team culture throughout whenever working on cross-functional teams with other departments.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

This position is responsible for effective customer communication, and complete follow-through of sales orders. This position is also responsible for growing an account base through full account penetration and converting prospects to customers.
