Job Description

The SalesForce Architect is part of the Technology team that supports and develops products and innovations to support and enhance the components of our OneStrut platform. This position will serve as a thought partner for network wide scope programs and technical product delivery, automation and innovation integrating legacy with the OneStrut platform to get the most efficient use of the platform across the enterprise. They troubleshoot and work with end-users to insure the platform meets their needs and keep pace with changes in program operations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsiblities


  • • Designing and building web & mobile interfaces on the Force.com platform using Visualforce, Apex and other available tools.

  • • Undertaking R&D, prototyping and are expected to actively participate in the Salesforce.com community.

  • • Creates scalable solutions based on business specifications, knowledge, and current data to support UPS departments and senior management decision-making.

  • • Strong problem solving skills, should be able to research and understand an undocumented set up and application.

  • • Evaluates process methods and available resources to create automation, build routines and schedules, and to identify data tools.

  • • Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity Applies Information Systems Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of the strategy, structures, processes, procedures and key technical elements of the enterprise; exhibits knowledge of the primary business representatives of the enterprise and the technical elements supporting them; describes the business delivery impact of system reliability.

  • • Designs/Develops Applications Solutions: Guides the development of applications to ensure goals and objectives of projects are met; participates in the architecture definition process; translates requirements to designs for large and highly complex applications; identifies and designs non-functional requirements; designs and develops system interfaces and databases; applies multiple testing techniques to minimize defects and deliver quality code for large and highly complex applications software.

  • • Work with various functions and end users to identify, document, and communicate standard business processes as they related to the database.

  • • Work with management to identify new and creative opportunities to leverage the database to support additional business processes or functions.

  • • Create innovative solutions using both SalesForce and non-SalesForce technologies as part of the OneStrut platform strategy.

  • • Salesforce platform knowledge and connections to the SalesForce development community.

  • • Strong understanding of technical requirements, system configuration, and user requirements.

  • • Wide experience of UML including appropriate use for Agile project delivery.

  • • Strong communication, documentation, prioritization and training skills.

  • • Proficiency in custom objects, validation rules, workflows, reporting, dashboards, assignment rules, and formula fields.

  • • Detail oriented, well organized, and ability to multi-task in a results oriented business environment.

  • • Strong knowledge of various programming languages and best practices between configuration and development.

  • • Strong knowledge of other common programing languages and the ability to connect with the SalesForce API.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science or related field required.
  • 5-7 years minimum SQL, Apex, VisualForce, etc. experience required with a strong understanding of application development best practices and functionality.
