Position Description

The analyst is a hands-on resource that has familiarity with all aspects of SFDC, including technical requirements, system configuration, and user requirements. The position is also responsible for designing and implementing solutions that improve and automate operations and usage/effectiveness of the Salesforce platform. In addition, the position will execute all configuration changes and will proactively monitor system configuration and controls. This position may require on-call coverage, overtime or off-shift coverage.

Position Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison between the business and IT for building and maintaining solutions, tools, and processes in the application
  • Understands all aspects of SFDC configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to SFDC release upgrades
  • Communicates regularly with SFDC designated super users to provide support, information and training on new features and functionality. (Support may include assistance with data imports/exports, assistance with data integrity projects or other requests.)
  • Communicates regularly with SFDC Service & Business Owners, Technology leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure functionality meets business needs and to support development and execution of the organization SFDC roadmap of projects.
  • Maintains at least high-level familiarity with other IT system/business application capabilities and scope definition in order to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points. This role would champion SFDC within the technology systems group, educating other team members on the capabilities and potential applications of SFDC.
  • Collects business requirements, identify success criteria, and determine the business value of proposed solutions
  • Develops ad-hoc reports as requested by user groups or stakeholders, performs analysis on data as required
  • Partner with IT and external consultants for solution design, programming/development work, and promotion of solutions from Sandbox to Production.
  • Maintain and communicate system metrics to track trends in usage and data integrity.
  • Proactively audit and improve configuration settings to enable top system performance, and to keep current with the latest capabilities of each release.
  • Performs Ongoing system administration, including but not limited to:
    • Manages security settings and conducts regular security/configuration audits
    • Manages new user set-ups and deactivation, including transferring ownership of accounts/contacts/opportunities for deactivated users
    • Executes configuration changes
    • Performs new release evaluations & executes new functionality roll-outs
    • Regularly audits data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvement
    • Performs mass data imports using the API or a import tools as requested
    • Manages and implements customization requests, including creating workflow triggers, workflow alerts, automated email responses, etc.
    • Maintains updated system documentation and related SFDC policies/procedures


BA or BS in computer science, information systems or related field and 5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
