Vaco Dallas, LLC is currently seeking qualified candidates for an intermediate-level SCCM Engineer for a local DFW client. This will be a 6-month, contract-to-hire employment opportunity with excellent compensation and long-term growth opportunities. Job Title: SCCM Engineer

Summary:

This SCCM Engineer will have the primary responsibility for administering, installing and deploying all applications, OSD packages, system updates, patches, etc., through SCCM. They will serve as 2nd and 3rd tier support for infrastructure services and operations for the organization. They will be responsible for managing Active Directory, as well as creating and managing Group Policies. The SCCM Engineer will handle implementation of new technologies at the enterprise-level, as well as ensuring all procedural documentation is accurate, and that all knowledge transfer is distributed amongst the infrastructure and application support team. The SCCM Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining the asset inventory and management across the organization, to include servers and software licensing. Individuals must be driven, self-directed, and able to work in an environment with little supervision or direction.

Required Skills & Experience: a minimum of 3 years' experience working within an enterprise-level environment with the following:

  • Microsoft SCCM - System Center Configuration Manager, minimum of version 2012 - administration and deployment experience
  • Administration and management of Active Directory, to include adding and deleting users, setting permissions, and creating and managing Group Policies
  • Windows Server 2008 and 2012 Server support experience
  • Networking support and network troubleshooting, LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.
  • Virtualized product experience - VMware, vCenter, ESXi, XenApp or XenDesktop or Citrix Server Farm environments, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting and automation, preferably with Windows PowerShell
  • Prior healthcare experience is a PLUS, along with any knowledge of data privacy practices and laws (HIPAA).
  • Strong experience working across distributed environments across multiple data centers with highly available network solutions
  • Working with and troubleshooting of IIS, File Services, as well email and Exchange Server
