SDET II for Mission Critical Communications

Our client is a Telecom Company in Renton, Washington. The team seeks an SDET II to build automated tests for teams that design and develop mission-critical technologies for niche industries and save lives every day.

Day-To-Day:

  • Write test automation scripts for test harnesses with Ruby and Cucumber.
  • Reviews project requirements, system architecture, design documentation, etc.
  • Virtualized Back office test automation
  • Communicate test estimates, test progress, test results, to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Linux OS expertise
  • Handle strategy behind load/performance testing.
  • Handle product testing and documentation for supporting scheduled target releases
  • Test result analysis for discovery, regress defects, errors, configuration issues, interoperability flaws, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant SDET experience in a Linux environment, minimum of 3 successful automation projects.
  • Skilled at creating numerous test automation scripts for test harness utilizing Ruby, Python, Cucumber.
  • Proven track record of creating automation w/ Linux based applications, ability to describe automation from a strategic perspective.
  • Ability to run daily triage and interface w/ Product Managers & Lead Developers in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
  • SDET experience owning major software components.
  • Excellent ability to de-bug and problem-solve
  • Mastery of Test Methodologies.
  • Competence in technical specifications and analysis of Log Files.
  • Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Successful communicator of technical concepts, liaison of information to internal teams-ability to express opinions in a respectful manner.
  • Rally experience (Working knowledge is preferred)
  • Previous experience w/test set-ups, and/or performing testing w/Virtual Test Platforms
  • A Bachelor's and Master's in C.S./related and/or work experience.
