ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:

The SEC Reporting Accountant is responsible for supporting future preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K's, etc.), internal management reporting, and financial results analyses. Perform technical research to ensure financial statements and disclosures are in accordance with PCAOB/GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Process internal and external audit requests.

  • Prepare future quarterly and annual external financial statements (10Q & 10K) including the balance sheet, income statement, statements of shareholders' equity and statements of cash flows
  • Prepare footnote disclosures to be included in interim and year-end financial statements and complete the related GAAP checklist
  • Liaise with investor relations team to complete earnings release and earnings call script by validation and tie-out of all financial data, and to address financial questions received from investors
  • Maintain share-based compensation activity reports, including monthly expense calculations. Prepare share-based compensation disclosures for interim and annual financial statements, as well as annual proxy disclosures
  • Perform quarterly earnings per share calculation and related documentation
  • Perform technical accounting and SEC reporting research and document conclusions to leadership team
  • Perform variance and flux analyses for monthly reporting packages on all financial statements and management reports. Provide explanations of significant variances of current financial position and results of operations against prior period results
  • Support annual goodwill impairment testing procedures and complete documentation of results
  • Identify efficiencies and potential improvements within various reporting processes
  • Assist internal and external auditors with requests

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 3+ years of SEC reporting experience and 1+ years general ledger accounting experience
  • Big 4 experience with public company clients preferred
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP/PCAOB and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and accounting software systems, Google Suite a plus
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Experience using accounting research tools
  • Effective communication skills regarding complex business and accounting issues
  • Adapts quickly to change
  • Self-motivated with effective organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome objections
