Job Description

This position is responsible for the preparation of financial filings with the SEC as well as development and updating of corporate accounting policies and procedures relating to a wide variety of accounting issues, reaching conclusions on complex accounting issues and transactions. The overall objective of this job is to monitor and ensure that the company's financial statements, disclosures and policies are in accordance with GAAP, while proactively understanding the effect of future pronouncements on the business units and enterprise as a whole.

* Preparation and review of annual report on Form 10-K, quarterly reports on Form 10-Q, current reports on Form 8-K and any other financial filings as required by the SEC
* Work with external auditors to address accounting issues and assist the review and audit of SEC filings and the annual report
* Assist in the review of quarterly earnings releases and support earnings release process
* Research complex accounting transactions and prepare position papers on conclusions
* Provide guidance on and assist with keeping current on all IR internal financial policies
* Remain current and proactive on new accounting and reporting guidance affecting the company
* Key contributor in the Company's interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards
* Work with business units to resolve accounting issues as they arise
* Drive ongoing process improvement between Financial Reporting department and the External Reporting department

In addition, the individual will be a key contributor in the following:

* BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
* Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
* A CPA is mandatory
* 3+ years with a Big 4 firm or similar roles in a Fortune 1000 company in a Technical Accounting and/or SEC reporting capacity preferred.
* Strong interpersonal communication skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skill
* Desired experience to consist of public accounting, at a manager level or above plus subsequent post audit SEC reporting experience for 2 plus years preferred
* Experience with the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, Form 10-Q and Form 10-K
* Energetic self-starter who is proactive and can manage tasks to completion
