Job Description

The job description for a SEC reporting techincal consultant or senior accountant with SEC reporting experience is as follows:

  • Preparing financial statements for Form 10-K, Form 10-Q and 8-K
  • Completing tie-out procedures to support management, analyses, and footnotes.
  • Completing footnote disclosures, including both documentation and schedules
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of XBRL filings.
  • Performing testing as it relates to Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance requirements.
  • Perform select month-end financial close activities (i.e. preparing journal entries, consolidation work papers and equity reconciliations).
  • Analyzing account balances and determining unusual trends or relationships.

Job Requirements

The following items are Job Requirements as it relates to the SEC Reporting Technical Consultant: •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business •Candidate has CPA license or is CPA eligible •Previous public accounting experience preferred •Strong understanding of SEC reporting
