As Payroll Supervisor, you will:

  • Answer questions from, and provide guidance to payroll team members regarding application of policy, legislation, etc. as it relates to payroll.
  • Respond to property inquiries including requests for manual checks, questions regarding vacation/sick eligibility, union issues, etc.
  • Train new and existing team members to ensure consistent application of Interstates policies and standard operating procedures and compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Process pay reversals, stop payments and adjustments in EV5 to maintain accuracy of employee records.
  • Assist payroll team members with complex payroll calculations related to retroactive payments, terminations, etc.
  • Continue looking for improvement opportunities related to efficiency and payroll best practice and bring forward to Payroll Supervisor and or Payroll Manager.
  • Ensure quarterly reconciliation process is scheduled timely
  • Create and modify ADP reports based on department needs
  • Be the liaison between properties, VPs, and IHR associates
  • Monitor and approve payroll timesheets
  • Monitor and ensure legal requests are completed and submitted timely
  • Ensure accuracy of payroll audits
  • Ensure proper handling of new and closing properties.

**Fundamentals**

High school education or equivalent experience is required. Minimum of five (5) years of Payroll experience is required along with experience in a multi-location environment and ADP payroll suite. At least 2 years of supervisory experience. ADP EV5 experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are expected. This position requires the ability to compile facts and figures. You will regularly use a computer, various software and a calculator. You must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively and courteously over the telephone and in person.
