Vaco Atlanta has just been hired to find our client, a fast growing Construction company, a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to oversee our client's general ledger and accounting operations. The Accounting Manager will perform general accounting work for the company including processing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts; supervising accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll; and other reporting, forecasting and accounting needs as requested by management. This role pays $75K-$95K (depending on experience) and the location (North Marietta near the 120 loop) is fantastic for many accountants in our area. Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare all financial statements, reporting packages, and financial presentations for management team. Communicate with management team on findings and present results at monthly management meeting.
  • Use of Excel to manage data and prepare management reports and company analytics.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and analyze and reconcile expense and revenue accounts.
  • Supervise and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions and staff.
  • Assist with special projects as requested by President and Executive team.
  • Maintain good record keeping and internal controls.
  • Provide information request and communicate with vendors, owners, and external CPA team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Construction Industry accounting experience a big plus but not required
  • Knowledge of a complex ERP system required (something other than QuickBooks or Peachtree) and experience with accounting system conversions a plus
  • Ability to effectively present information to internal and external groups
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team fostered environment
