Job Description

Vaco Atlanta has a brand new Senior Accountant/ Accounting Manager role for a well-funded and fast-growing startup we work in the Sandy Springs area. The comp ranges from $75K to $85K based on experience. We are looking for someone with experience working for a larger company, but comfortable taking those best practices and applying them in a startup environment where you will be able to create your own structure and process. Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare all financial statements, reporting packages, and financial presentations for management team. Communicate with management team on findings and present results at monthly management meeting.
  • Use of Excel to manage data and prepare management reports and company analytics.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and analyze and reconcile expense and revenue accounts.
  • Supervise and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions and staff.
  • Assist with special projects as requested by President and Executive team.
  • Maintain good record keeping and internal controls.
  • Provide information request and communicate with vendors, owners, and external CPA team.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • CPA required
  • Ability to effectively present information to internal and external groups
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team fostered environment
