Senior Accountant - Sr Accountant - Financial Reporting - CPA

The Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting is responsible applying GAAP knowledge to analyze financial information and preparing accurate and timely financial statements.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Analyzes complex financial reports and records to ensure all are recorded accurately.
  • Prepares financial statements and assist in preparing budgets according to schedule.
  • Performs variance analyses and account reconciliations.
  • Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Provides responses to external audit requests.
  • Supports month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen controls.
  • Work with minimal up-front guidance. The individual will work closely with team members and the Management Team.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Four to five years progressively responsible experience in accounting.
  • Public accounting or advisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Familiarity with statutory accounting principles.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
