Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to support the Financial Reporting Team with key areas such as financial reports, monthly board reporting, and coordination with our external auditors. The role is responsible for certain internal and external reporting tasks assists with certain monthly and quarterly account reconciliations completed in the external reporting department, as well as maintenance of our financial reporting system.

Essential Job Duties

  • Assisting in the preparation and tie-out of financial statements and footnote disclosures
  • Assistance in preparation and coordination of the monthly board reporting presentations.
  • Coordination and preparation with external auditors for quarterly reviews, interim and year-end testing.
  • Preparation of account reconciliations including certain accruals for professional fees and compensation-related items as well as the roll forward of goodwill and intangible assets.
  • Preparation of accounting entries for derivative transactions, including applicable disclosures.
  • Preparation of the monthly equity roll forward.
  • Preparation in the consolidation of financial statements
  • May perform other duties as required.

Scope of Responsibility

Primarily independent; working under general instructions and expected to determine how to accomplish the work assignments. Responsible for certain internal and external reporting tasks that have significant impact of financial statements. Associate will be privy and work with highly confidential information.

Education and Experience

Minimum: College graduate with accounting or business degree, Master's Degree in Business or Accounting; 3 years' experience in public accounting and a CPA; Big 4 public accounting experience; experience with SEC clients/filings.
