A brand new Vaco technology client (exclusive to Vaco and not posted by our client) is looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant to their team. The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the team, producing various financial reports, supporting technical accounting research and will have the opportunity to be an integral part of process improvement as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs financial reporting functions including supporting schedules for all specific business units
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS principles and overall strong technical accounting skills required to financial reporting, month-end close process, and consolidations
  • Assist in audit process through the preparation of schedules and communications with internal and external auditors
  • Assist in the design of reports and processes that enhances the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of reports
  • Key member of managing consolidation tools and process implementation (i.e. EPM implementation)
  • Work closely with tax department to perform legal entity related activities as needed (i.e. calculate dividends, reconcile investment with joint ventures)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field is required
  • CPA or CPA track required
  • Operational Accounting (Month End Close) and Financial reporting experience from public accounting and/or a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting setting
  • Comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS principles
  • Outstanding communication skills: written, verbal and presentation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, ERP retrieve tools, etc.).
  • Excellent time and project management abilities; self-motivated and highly experienced with multi-tasking
