In this role, you will be supporting the revenue recognition function, including the review of complex contracts, application of accounting guidance and identification of inherent risks, identification of corresponding journal entries and ownership of general ledger accounts.

As the Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be reviewing contracts, sales orders and purchase orders to assess proper revenue recognition treatment, including the identification of contractual elements.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with revenue recognition reporting and process improvements based upon industry trends, authoritative literature and business objectives
  • Preparing journal entries relating to revenue
  • Researching technical accounting issues and reporting through technical accounting memos
  • Assisting in ASC 606 implementation
  • Participating in quarterly revenue forecasting procedures
  • Supporting ongoing SEC reporting requirements as necessary
  • Establishing controls necessary to ensure that revenue forecasts, deferred revenue balances and revenue accounting execution are compliant with company policy and GAAP

Skillset & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy
  • CPA (preferred)
  • 2-5 years public accounting and/or industry experience (revenue preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong communication skills
