Our client is a rapidly growing apparel and retail company leading the industry in quality and active-wear design. They are looking for a hands-on, ready to work Senior Accountant to join their growing team. Ideal candidate will not only posses a strong background in accounting but will be looking to take the next step in their career with the potential to move into a manager role.

As Senior Accountant, you will be an important part of the financial management of the company including month end close, management reporting, variance analysis. Flexible work schedule along with competitive compensation.

As a Senior Accountant your typical day may involve:

  • Develop accounting and financial processes for internal and/or external use.
  • Develop process or procedure improvements
  • Design, modify, install, and maintain accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivables, general ledger and bank reconciliation.
  • Provides guidance regarding general ledger entries and helps resolve issues.
  • Assists in the tracking, understanding and process improvements of costing, account reconciliations, and expense variances.
  • Understand and lead team in accurately accounting for intercompany and foreign transactions,.
  • Oversees the month end close process in preparation of the Company financial statements ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all recorded entries.
  • Assists in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements to the parent company.
  • Provides monthly, quarterly and annual flux analysis to management and others for areas of responsibility.
  • Participates with the maintenance and application of internal controls (Sarbanes-Oxley).
  • Ensures that internal departments adhere to and maintain Company standards and proper accounting practices and controls.
  • Reviews, interprets, and applies financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
Preferences:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • Minimum 5 years related general accounting experience
  • Experience in Full Circle or SAP preferred
