Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for day to day operational accounting activities including but not limited to:
- Customer invoicing and collection
- Managing accounts payable, vendor files, and disbursements
- Maintaining general ledger
- Maintaining fixed assets journal and related depreciation and amortization schedules
- Preparing month-end close journal entries and other reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external use including Company leadership, investors, and Board of Directors
- Prepare actual versus budget financial analysis
- Revenue recognition including proper accounting treatment of deferred revenue
- Deferred cost and project cost analysis
- Complete and maintain sales/use tax compliance and reporting
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
- Coordinate preparation and processing of payroll
- Prepare financial analysis in connection with special projects
- Interpret financial transactions and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Support the preparation and completion of the annual financial audit process by completing audit requirements and communications with external audit teams
- Develop and implement processes with focus on automation, scalability, and efficiency
