Job: Senior Accountant

Type: Direct Hire

W2 Pay Rate Min/Max: $ /85,000.00

Salary Max: $ 70,000.00

Job Description:

The position will be responsible for various accounting functions to support growing US business including playing integral role in providing schedules for external and internal audits, tax requests, internal reporting, and the close process.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:-

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual close process of the business unit on a timely and accurate basis, along with providing complete and accurate financial analyses and financial statements
  • Conduct monthly detailed review of balance sheets and complete reconciliations, ensuring accurate reflection of account balances
  • Work closely with Cost/Budgeting Director and Accounting Director in order to understand and quantify balance sheet accrual positions pointing out potential risks/opportunities
  • Produce monthly P&L
  • Provide schedules and respond to requests in connection with annual financial audit and tax preparation
  • Complete ad hock requests as they arise from regional and corporate accounting teams.
  • Assist in annual budget
  • Ensure accounting activities comply with company policy and appropriate legal requirements and financial reporting adheres to GAAP

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5-7 years in a "hands-on" manufacturing accounting role
  • SAP is a plus
  • Solid attention to detail with a strong level of accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & teamwork skills

Mandatory skills:

  • Computer skills including the ability to create and modify accounting, spreadsheet and word-processing files and email at a highly proficient level
  • Strong EXCEL skills
  • Self-motivated with uncompromising work ethic
