As a Senior Accountant your typical day may involve:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial balances and accounts maintained in the General Ledger
  • Primarily responsible for oversight of processing customer sales orders in invoicing
  • Prepare reconciliation of general ledger accounts and bank statements in a timely manner
  • Gather and analyze data from the general ledger to assist in preparing consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare payments and journal entries of accrued expenses
  • Analyze and prepare financial statement reports and spreadsheets
  • Process, prepare and enter financial data, including but not limited to invoices, expense reports, company payments, customer payments and credit card purchases
  • Monitor the aging of accounts receivable and make necessary collection calls on overdue invoices
  • Assist with planning and administering the month-end and year-end close process to satisfy the financial reporting cycle
  • Assist with departmental documentation, including work instructions, policies, procedures, forms and templates
  • Identifies risk to the organization and communicates that risk to management, and protect confidential information, including, but not limited to, business trade secrets and protected health information
  • Lead and mentor others on the finance team
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with large ERP system preferred (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)
  • Microsoft Excel skills (Intermediate level) necessary
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Ability to interpret accounting guidance and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail
