Senior Accountant


  • Plan and direct all financial accounting operations in order to deliver accurate and timely monthly financial and cash flow reporting to CFO, MT and business areas
  • Maintain the company's system of accounts, post journal entries, keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets. Responsible for the accounting operational procedures and controls throughout the company
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly reports for sales, marketing & management team
    • Reports: marketing spend, trade terms conditions, sales contribution and management
    • Maintenance and preparation of reports for Sales Information system, based on BW and SAP
  • Responsible for maintaining Balance Sheet backup schedules and preparing reconciliations on required schedules (except I/C maintained by Senior Financial Controller)
  • Manage trade terms conditions monthly and send out trade term analysis to Trade market manager for review & decision making: update conditions as required by Trade Market manager
  • Manages BFC Consolidation systems to meet group deadlines monthly, half year, & annual.
  • Assist Senior Financial Controller preparation of both the internal Arla Reporting Package and official annual report. This includes preparing working papers for review and tax purposes and liaison with auditors
  • Process Monthly Broker Rebates, Container Commissions and prepare commission summary. Ensure commission accruals are accurate
  • Responsible for following Corporate Minimum Controls as required
  • Manage A/R and Trade Credit insurance program, including external monthly reporting
  • Oversee Accounts Payable vendor creation
  • Ad Hoc Analysis as required
  • BW Super user in NJ Office


  • 5-7 years' experience in varied accounting and/or financial experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems or similar ERP system
  • College Degree in Finance/Accounting, MBA preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Strong data entry skills and accuracy
  • Results and detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Strong ability to communicate and accurately exchange information
  • Exemplify initiative to undertake new assignments in order to increase knowledge outside of current scope of responsibilities
