Senior Accounting Generalist - Contract in Kernersville, NC at Vaco

Our client base continues to have ongoing, immediate needs for a Senior Accounting Consultant to support project-based initiatives and interim coverages, at a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager to Controller-level skill set. If you are comfortable jumping in and not afraid to be hands-on then our clients and consulting gigs will be perfect for you!

As a Vaco Consultant, you will be the face of Vaco's talent and will have the opportunity to show off your experience, accounting knowledge, punctual nature and have the chance to touch anything from reconciliations to general ledger clean-up/maintenance, audits, forecasting or budgeting….the opportunities are endless

Responsibilities:

• Handling financial statements and reporting.
• Balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, fixed assets, payroll, and other accruals.
• Review and approval of account classifications.
• Maintaining or cleaning up General Ledger.
• Working with external or internal auditors.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
• Working closely with other functional areas and business management to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals
