JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Senior Azure Engineer / Architect for a 6M C2H opportunity located in Richardson, TX (remote during Covid). The Senior Azure Engineer / Architect will join a small team that is supporting the Enterprise-wide Cloud Environment (90% Azure with a 10% mixture of AWS / GCP). The Senior Azure Engineer / Architect will work with business units and technical groups to gain ideas and perspective on designing cloud-based solutions, helping to shape the cloud environment including Cloud / Azure Cloud Infrastructure Governance. The Senior Azure Engineer / Architect will build and integrate new features and grow the Cloud Infrastructure Environment. The Senior Azure Engineer / Architect will build and manage the Hybrid Data Center in Azure.

• Plan / Implement / Grow Azure Foundational Footprint Capabilities
• Work with Application / Architecture Teams to Conduct Proof-of-Concept / Implement Designs in Production Environment in Azure
• Network Design for Cloud / Private Cloud
• Reference Architectures / Patterns / Policy / RBAC/IAM / Naming Conventions / Standards / Templates / CI/CD / Scripts for All Aspects of Cloud Infrastructure / Operations
• Work with Application Teams to Understand Current Applications / Make Migration Recommendations / To-Be Architectures in Azure, etc.
• Design / Build / Automate / Document Multi-Tiered Managed Services Platform
• Build Out Automation Azure ARM / DevOps Orchestration
• Write Required Template Documents / Procedures / Guides, etc.
• Develop Automated Solutions to Monitor / Support Cloud Solutions / External Teams, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Senior Azure Engineer / Solutions Architect - Cloud Infrastructure Solutions / Enterprise Architecture
• Active Directory / Windows Server Administration (strong / advanced level) - Azure B2C / Azure AD, etc.
• Operating Systems / Networking Concepts (strong understanding)
• Storage / Load Balancing / TCP/IP / Virtualization / Web / Database / Messaging Services (good understanding) - Ability to Deep Dive into Any Areas, As Needed
• Design / Develop PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) Solutions using Azure Services
• Resolving Issues with Azure Resources
• Best Practices / IT Operations (knowledge) - Always-Up / Always-Available Service, etc.
• Create / Configure Azure Resources / RBAC
• Hands-On PowerShell Scripting
• Azure RM Templates
• CI/CD Azure Infrastructure-as-Code
• VSTS / TFS / GIT / Azure DevOps, etc.
