Job Description


Elicits, analyzes, validates and documents business, organizational and/or operational requirements. Actively participates in the delivery of IT-related projects and enhancements that support the overall productivity and efficiency of our users. Responsible for supporting and representing the business throughout the project lifecycle including project initiation, development of project plans, system requirements, functional and detailed specifications, test plans and project-related documentation. Ensures that goals are accomplished within time, on budget and in line with business objectives, quality and integrity parameters.


  • Understand business processes, vision, strategies and technologies (Microsoft-based)
  • Responsible for defining the business process and supporting data to achieve the business objectives
  • Work with business process owners to develop enhancement projects and manage the development and implementation through entire project lifecycle. Establish goals and milestones with associated controls.
  • Support development of user procedures and test plans. Participate in user testing and evaluate user testing for IT approval before promotion of enhancements/modifications/new applications to a production environment.
  • Develop or review business functional and informational requirements.
  • Technical documentation of business requirements and scoping definitions.
  • Work closely with the Business Applications engineers and software development resources to develop level of effort for requested changes.
  • Provide technical expertise and knowledge required to support the on-going operation and maintenance of business application systems. Assist business with application setup, configuration and maintenance of applications when business changes occur.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Reports status of projects and assignments to management on a regular basis.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience
  • 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience.
  • Solid understanding of current information technology with an ability to conceptualize solutions to business problems in the most effective and cost effient manner.
  • Proven ability to lead both internal and external team members
  • Demonstrated achievements in planning, directing and implementing complex projects on time, within budget and with desired functionality beginning with inception through implementation and maintenance
  • Awareness of new and existing technologies and Best Practices
  • Experience compiling and analyzing information to estimate project resources and costs


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communicating with executive audiences
  • Ability to apply problem solving skills and implement solutions
  • Ability to anticipate potential obstacles and develop contingency plans to overcome them
  • Ability to proactively involve key users in all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Exceptional written, public speaking and presenting skills
  • Ability to be broadly focused and manage multiple efforts concurrently
  • Ability to allow sufficient independence while maintaining alignment and overall direction
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization; including staff, business stakeholders, and all levels of management

  • Demonstrated experience in creating and leading cross-functional project teams
  • Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office products
