Job Snapshot

Job Description

Do You:
  • Exploit the hidden power in "menial" tasks-understand the impact of note taking and the power behind it. You seize the moment and draft the initial process/document yourself.
  • Delegate-you know how to "stealth delegate"
  • Compose in Real Time-you own the stage, you clearly own the material, you are in the drivers seat and you flat out get the job done! And you make it look easy!
  • Define Gonzo Success Criteria-You are comfortable taking the step outside the box and focusing on the END CUSTOMERS' success criteria. Quite frankly you like to operate way outside the box.
  • Ask Crazy as a fox questions-Do you ask the questions that no one else dares to ask? Do you ask the questions that once answered will bring everyone to the same level of understanding? Do you ask the questions that crystallize the issue for people to understand what the sticking points are? Do you ask the questions that lead to out of the box thinking?
  • Get & Command Attention-Are you clever enough to not only identify the missing information, but also assess the severity of the missing information and frame and communicate this risk in a way that makes the consequences clear & unappealing?
  • Schmooze those stakeholders- Do you meet with the stakeholders regularly to keep them apprised of the progress and potential impacts on their areas of influence? Do you make sure they know who is supposed to be representing their interests and understand what those interests are? Do you know their success criteria and if it is not inline can you influence change? Do you build bridges and help them to understand that you are looking out for them and their best interests? You build long standing and lasting relationships and truly enjoy people and working with others. You play nice in the sandbox for sure!
  • Rat out those underachievers- Do you make sure "stuff" gets done, and that there are no slackers? If someone is slacking are you politically savvy enough to have the discussions necessary to get things back on track?
  • Speak Truth to Power- Are you comfortable using your verbal communication skills to demonstrate leadership? Are you someone who can say what needs to be said? Can you do it without whining (cause we know there is NO WHINING in Business Analysis). Can you ask for guidance instead of playing the blame game?
  • Wear your "Facilitator Flak Jacket" with pride - Can you take criticism in a constructive manner? Are you able to set the agenda? Are you a good housekeeper (verify the rules of the road, help build consensus). Can you keep people on schedule? Are you a conflict management expert?

If any/all of these statements describe you then let's find some time to talk. Shoot me an email
