Vaco is working with a manufacturing company on the northeast side of town who has a need for a Sr. Business Analyst on a contract basis.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides more specialized professional finance and related business activities, develops more comprehensive, moderate-scale reports and analyses, and assists managing projects and overseeing sensitive or specialized communications. Performs activities that involves specialized finance and related business principles, preparing reports for senior management to determine business decisions, and assisting with the training and development of staff.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assists with training and developing finance and business staff to include on the job training, reviewing work and proposals, and assisting with feedback.
  • Performs a variety of calculations and analyses audits of financial and business results; typically involves more specialized and comprehensive professional related finance and business principles.
  • Develops proposals or reports to outline current or proposed finance or business operations; operations are more comprehensive in nature and outlines assumptions, risks and recommendations.
  • Prepares presentations for senior management regarding recommendations of studies and projects; may assist with presenting information.
  • Reviews and responds to more comprehensive internal or external customer requests which includes applying finance and business principles, drafting responses and outlines, and other professional support.
  • Assists with coordinating internal resources to respond to internal or external customer requests, such as gathering, analyzing and summarizing information.
  • Ensures processes and operations complies with applicable laws, rules and regulations; seeks advice and interpretation when required and applies across operations.
  • Develops specialized or more comprehensive metrics and goals for programs, tracks and oversees performance, and works with staff when potential problems are identified.
  • Assists with managing projects and overseeing communication with internal or external customers, to potentially include complex issues and ensuring communications with management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Applying specialized professional finance and related business principles and practices.
  • Understanding of comprehensive professional finance principles and practices.
  • Leveraging systems and databases for finance and business management.
  • Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of specialized databases through auditing, reviews, and analysis.
  • Ensuring operations comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations with the ability to apply across operations.
  • Developing specialized analytics, reports and communications within finance and business.
  • Determining metrics and measurements for finance and business programs.
  • Communicating specialized finance and business information.
  • Operating in a both a team and individual contributor environment

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent education and experience. Master's Degree in related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience, including some specialized or complex work
