Job Description


Responsibilities:

  • Database monitoring, administration, upgrades, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Provide computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users.
  • Perform after hours' maintenance and configurations.
  • Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users.
  • Install new software applications or hardware (coordinating third parties when necessary).
  • Add and maintain users on the network; assigning application (SQL) access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations are within standards.
  • Work together with existing IT team and participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions.
  • Monitor and report licenses on applications to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Administration.
  • 3+ years of networking/system administration experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012, 2014, and 2016.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server SQL Agent Jobs.
  • Experience with Transact SQL.
  • Experience managing SQL Servers, SQL Clustering, and SQL Backups.
  • Experience managing servers with Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Experience with Active Directory Administration.
  • Experience maintaining and distributing standardized system images and files.
  • Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge/experience with Hyper-V Failover Clustering.
  • Working knowledge/experience with Microsoft System Center.
  • Working knowledge/experience with SonicWall Routers and Firewalls.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
