Must

  • Experience with monitoring services like cloudwatch, nagios, data dog, prometheus, pager duty etc.

Day to Day

  • Create, develop, and manage the technical architecture for our platform's components in a microservices model, including stack configuration, algorithm design, API development, and deployment
  • Develop cutting edge solutions to maximize the performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities of the system
  • Research, evaluate and suggest technologies to extend, complement and replace components of our platform.
  • Implement best development practices and ensure these are replicated across the codebase by other team members.
  • Lead others on your team by example; developing high-quality reusable code with extensive documentation and comprehensive testing.
  • Help orchestrate the daily processes of the team including leading the Agile process and enforcing good software development practices.
  • Take a part in the end to end product life cycle with a heavy focus on solution design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Drive product decisions including difficult trade-offs that may be needed between resources, schedule, and functionality.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

As Sr. DevOps Engineer for the Technical Operations Team, you will be the main driving force behind the design, monitoring, and deployment of our operational platform in both a public and private cloud environment. You will play a meaningful role in evolving the existing channels for the democratic process by building and improving our high-performance web applications. You will concentrate on the system and processes that elections officials around the world will use to run their elections. To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for writing excellent code and managing complex infrastructure, be an extraordinary teammate, and bring out the best in other members of your team.
