Job Description

We are currently seeking a financial analyst or senior financial analyst for a public company in Indianapolis, IN. Salary commensurate with experience. Target Base Pay rate of $70-85K + Bonus (possibly more based on experienced).

The Senior Financial Analyst will have an active role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting with detailed and consolidated annual budget
  • Preparing monthly forecast and budgets
  • Analyzing and presenting monthly budget to actual variance analysis
  • Developing, modifying, and updating financial models
  • Preparing quarterly and monthly Board reports and related financial analysis
  • Conducting ad hoc/special projects
  • Drive growth and profitability of the company by working with each of our business units through strategic forecasting and business analysis, including capital expenditures, variance analysis, process changes, and internal management reporting
  • Works closely with senior management to develop internal reporting requirements on a monthly and quarterly basis to be provided to the board of directors and executives
  • Create, analyze, and present monthly/quarterly/annual reports ensuring that all financial data has been recorded accurately
  • Interacts with cross-functional teams to make sure that strategic initiatives and project requirements are on track based on data submissions from business
  • Involved in corporate strategy projects including divestitures, mergers and acquisitions, industry and competitive analysis, and global economic news/trend analysis that impact business performance

EDUCATION

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 3-6 years of experience in a FP&A type role preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Self-starter that can lead projects with minimal supervision from management
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Ability to thrive in team-based settings
  • Desire to take on the responsibility of leading a finance function
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Vigorous work ethic and high-performance standards
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of HFM or Hyperion Essbase Planning, Tableau preferred
  • MBA, MAcc, CPA, CMA, CGMA, CFA, CFP&A preferred
