RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports, analyzes, forecasts and interprets financial and operating data. This may include profit/loss analysis, cost analysis, project analysis, discounted cash flow, depreciation and any other ad-hoc analysis of interest to management.
  • Participates in the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast, which may include company-wide or functional area specific modeling, time-series analysis and graphic presentation of both operational and financial data.
  • Prepares complex financial analysis reports in a timely and accurate manner, and completes individual analytical projects in a satisfactory manner given abstract project guidelines.
  • Assists in the generation, preparation and review of executive reporting packages and board presentations.
  • Interprets and applies policies and procedures to new situations.
  • Advises on and recommends to management desirable operational adjustments, and interprets variances to prior periods and plan/forecast.
  • Partners with other finance organizations to interpret and analyze consolidated results and projections.
  • Develops key performance indicators and provides commentary on variances.
  • Performs ROI and discounted cash flow analysis on several types of projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years' experience in financial planning & analysis.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.
  • Detail focused and high standards for accuracy and precision.
  • Advanced understanding of financial analysis and accounting policies, procedures, programs and processes.
  • Ability to manage numerous tasks and projects simultaneously in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced Excel modeling.
  • Proficient use of automated general ledger systems and reporting tools (Hyperion Planning, Cognos, BW, BO. or similar reporting/BI tools) a plus.
  • Advanced skills in the development of financial ratios and comparative analysis
