Job Description

Vaco Atlanta is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a large supply chain company located in Alpharetta. This position is the finance business partner to the service organization. The incumbent will support service group with budgets, forecast, business cases, program implementation and analysis for program's strategic decisions. Liaison with the core finance & accounting group for service projects, profitability and variance analysis. Ensures adherence to accounting policies and generally accepted practices. This role is actively involved in M&A analysis for the BU.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs.
  • Identifies financial performance improvement potential by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Increases productivity by developing automated applications; coordinating information requirements.
  • Directly assist management with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Works with the Finance team to complete the month close timely and accurately.
  • Contributes to team effort by helping others in the company.
  • Business partner to the service organization to help drive projects and initiatives including analysis, coordination and measurement of the results.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT systems, reports and business processes within the organization.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field is required
  • MBA or CPA Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years' progressive cost/financial analyst accounting experience, with preference for automotive manufacturing or a strong willingness to learn and advance. Experience with SAP,
  • Oracle, BI, EPM Cloud or other financial reporting software a plus.
