A publicly traded software company is looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to their team on a potential temp-to-permanent engagement. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide strategic analysis to senior management. You will also be responsible for the forecasting and budget-setting process as well as performing financial analysis and modeling.

Financial Analyst responsibilities:

  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual results for functional area.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts.
  • Prepare recurring presentations (monthly, quarterly, and annually) for functional leadership regarding business performance and issues.
  • Prepare / coordinate the annual plan with business partners including maintaining budget templates, consolidated schedules and overall business commentary.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation packages for the board of directors.
  • Review and approve purchase requests to ensure accuracy and consistency with procurement and accounting guidelines.
  • Ad-hoc analyses as required
  • Work with manager to continually find and implement efficient process improvements.
  • Responsibilities may evolve with business needs / requirements.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and can provide excellent customer service to internal customers.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs including Excel and Access applications.
  • Strong analytical ability; able to clearly link financial results to operational activities.
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload while managing to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate and present complex issues in a clear, accessible and impactful manner.
  • Candidates must be able to respond effectively to inquiries from various levels of management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Business Intelligence experience using Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau - nice to have but not required.
  • Software industry experience a plus
  • SAP, BPC knowledge
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • B.A. / B.S. with major or emphasis in finance or accounting.
