Job Description

The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting. Paid relocation is not available.

This position is expected to be at the Associate or Senior Associate level, internally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual global consolidated financial statements including financial disclosures.
  • Perform monthly financial statement analytical review procedures.
  • Research U.S. GAAP technical accounting guidance to ensure compliance with existing standards and understand impact of pending standards.
  • Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and advise on accounting treatment for complex or unique transactions.
  • Develop corporate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and provide audit coordination and support.
  • Support accounting for stock-based compensation.
  • Complete or assist in financial reporting for various international operations statutory requirements and U.S. government economics reporting. Review differences between local statutory financial statements and U.S. GAAP reporting for reasonableness.
  • Support integration of financial reporting for newly acquired entities. Ensure consistency of financial statement methodologies and classification across entities.
  • Identify opportunities to further leverage financial systems; improve efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external financial reporting.
  • Act as a business partner to colleagues across functions and consulting communities. Proactively provide information and solutions. Serve as a key resource to the organization for accounting and financial reporting guidance and support.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to continuously improve the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of financial statements.


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with emphasis in accounting required.
  • CPA with minimum 3 years public accounting experience required (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred).
  • Advanced and broad analytical and technical accounting skills.
  • Self-motivated. Initiates activities with high degree of drive, passion, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Refines work processes and deliverables to ensure a great customer experience.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively in order to meet strict deadlines. Ability to work independently and under time constraints.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system a plus.
  • Forms sustainable relationships with colleagues within and across functional areas.
  • Must have the ability to work full time in an fast-paced office environment; Must be physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the work day.
