Job Description

Vaco is working with a client in Downtown Atlanta to identify a new Senior Financial Reporting Analyst who will be involved with all aspects of corporate accounting and financial reporting including: external and internal financial reporting, GL accounting for corporate entity, global consolidation, technical accounting research and budgeting. This position will require sophisticated analytical skills, exceptional collaboration and organizational capabilities and a strong technical accounting background. Compensation target is $85,000 to $95,000 with excellent growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including:
  • Monthly corporate general ledger close
  • Prepare and review accounting transactions for Corporate activity
  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
  • Global consolidation analysis on account detail and business results, and investigate exceptions
  • Record consolidation entries for external reporting
  • Research complex technical accounting matters
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance organization to research and document conclusions on technical accounting matters
  • Assist with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements
  • Assist with the budget/forecasting process, including analysis of trends and projecting expenses
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects within the financial reporting department
  • Coordinate audit requests with external auditors
  • Prepare process flow documentation for financial reporting processes, including the identification of risk points and internal controls within the process
  • Coordinate and review preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Other ad-hoc reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting
  • 4 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated problem-solving and innovation skills
  • Responsible, driven and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Possess a passion for learning and business process excellence
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Customer-oriented with excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • CPA license strongly preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
