Job description

Our Client is looking for a Senior GL Accountant, a position which will report directly to their Controller. The ideal candidate will be an individual with a great understanding of accounting principles, ERP systems and has helped manage a complete month-end close cycle. You'll collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, Internal Audit, External Reporting, Technical Accounting and other Finance teams to manage financial risk, and develop and maintain scalable accounting and compliance processes to support new products, growth models, cost structures and domestic/international business.

Responsibilities

● Perform and manage monthly GL close

● Day to day function of revenue accounting including revenue reporting, reconciliation and close

● Assist in implementation of new systems, upgrades and automation of accounting processes

● Prepare and enter journal entries for various business transactions (revenue, prepaids, transfer pricing, cash, accruals, fixed assets, allocations)

● Review GL reconciliations for key accounts including payroll, fixed assets, cash, accruals, inter-company and prepaid assets

● Support FP&A on the completion of monthly and quarterly Actual vs. Forecast reporting

● International experience, managing the monthly close for foreign subsidiaries and consolidating results

● Assist with building accounting, compliance programs and processes optimized for a new and growing company.

● Prepare GAAP compliant standalone financial statements.

● Support new and existing products, providing accounting guidance on business models and decisions.

● Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

● 5 years of experience working at an accounting firm, public company, or start-up.

● Experience creating/developing accounting and compliance processes.

● Experience working with analytical, quantitative, and computer desktop platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

● CPA, CA certification.

● Working knowledge of US GAAP.

● Oracle R12 experience

● Experience working with hardware, domestic and international accounting.

● Ability to influence across a company and interact at all levels.

● Effective attention to detail, ability to multi-task, project management and organizational skills.
