Private equity owned manufacturing company has an opportunity for a Senior Human Resources Manager to oversee a multi location facility and manage a team of two individuals.

Responsibilities include all developing, implementing, and maintaining a full range of human resource programs and services in accordance with Federal and State regulations Serves as a strategic partner of the Senior Leadership team and serves as a link between leadership and staff.

  • Human Resource Management
    • Develop a healthy culture to implement and manage the company's employee engagement efforts.
    • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of HR admin/payroll and recruiting staff.
    • Assist in bargaining agreements and help interpret labor contracts.
    • Advise managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
    • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems and manage conflict resolution.
    • Coordinate, communicate and collaborate with managers in dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
    • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
    • Manage the company's ongoing workforce development plan through training, development and staffing strategies in support of succession planning.
    • Responsible for the metrics identified in the company's Roadmap and bowler documents.
  • Employee Compensation
    • Analyze the benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Recruiting
    • Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs.
    • Establishing and aligning compensation programs (base and variable) with the company's growth strategy
    • Identify staff vacancies as part of the workforce management plan.
  • Human Resource Administration
    • Complete state for federal monthly and yearly reports
    • Manage the annual performance review process.
    • Monitor employee claims for unemployment, FMLA, FLI, disability, and worker's compensation.
    • Monitor and maintain reports for COBRA, 401k (including 5500) Aetna (ACA), Lincoln, AFLAC, Workers Compensation, and carrier connect.
    • Conducts employee exit interviews when applicable.
    • Manages the annual Benefit open enrollment period each year. Arranges for distribution of materials from carriers, communicating changes to employees and arranges for on-site representation by insurance brokers.
    • Report all workers comp to OSHA Manager maintain workers comp files
    • Write articles for company newsletter

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in in the area of FMLA, FLI, FLSA. ADA, EEOC, STD/ LTD, Benefits, Workers Comp and HRIS
  • 5+ years of experience in Labor Relations and Employee Relations
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role
