Job Description

The Senior Marketing Analyst is responsible for managing the reporting, analysis, and recommendations required to deliver on key business objectives. The role will report to the Vice President, Marketing and support the Executive Team, Sales and Financial Services departments in the day-to-day management of planning and monitoring executional objectives for each of its major retail customers. This role will be the primary architect and administrator for all category/segment/item level reporting and will utilize both Retail Link and syndicated data.

* Responsible for disciplined and regular cadenced reporting of category and segment level reporting including the management and maintenance of a suite of reports and dashboards for Executive and Sales and teams used to improve product level performance.
* Utilize multiple data sources including specific customer links and syndicated data to perform advanced analytics and take a lead role in the development of presentations to support executable customer selling strategies, especially as it relates to shelving, merchandising, assortment and retail pricing.
* Utilize POS and syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI and NPD), research, and software tools to formulate insights and glean category trends that drive business decisions and customer recommendations.
* Work proactively with sales and marketing teams to deliver effective fact-based presentations for scheduled sales calls by using data analytics and consumer insights to form recommendations to both existing and potential customers.
* Prepare monthly reports for key retailers that highlights share change in items and categories with recommended actions needed. These include feature reporting, market basket analysis, and other identified analytics and supporting insights.
* Develop and maintain sales reporting, analytics, and models that track and drive insights for the marketing mix (price, promotion, product, and place).
* Work directly with the Sales and Financial Services teams on trade spend analytics.
* Develop new Item tracking Analytical Platform to be used by Sales Management.
* Assist in understanding and analyzing quarterly business performance with the focus on improving merchandising, promotional effectiveness, and product.
* Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns to generate meaningful operational and commercial insights.
* Bachelor's degree in business and analytical disciplines required.
* 5+ years in a CPG environment with experience in sales and data analysis required.
* Complete working knowledge and power user of Retail Link Reporting required.
* Advanced command of the following software applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, and syndicated data systems (Nielsen, IRI and NPD).
* Ability to develop analytical processes and tracking methods.
* Ability to maneuver between customer information sources systems and Company systems.
* Ability to manage large volumes of data and analysis simultaneously.
* High analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
* Concise, articulate, and professional communication.
* Strong organization and follow-up skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
* Proven ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
* Demonstrated success in building trust with internal and external customers.
