Role and Responsibilities:

A leading real estate company is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join its Norfolk corporate team.

This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded payroll specialist to join an exceptional team in warm and stable office environment.

The payroll specialist with process payroll for mostly salaried employees, calculate commissions weekly, and take charge of all aspects of corporate payroll from time entry, to payroll calculations, to payroll taxes.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Multiple weekly commission calculations and distributions
  • Process garnishments and other payroll deductions
  • Act as the point of contact for all payroll, timekeeping, and commission questions and problem resolutions
  • Take lead as the liaison with ADP and serve as the subject matter expert for the ADP Workforce Now
  • Reconcile and pay payroll taxes

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or other business function highly preferred
  • 3+ years of concentrated in-house payroll experience
  • Advanced experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now including time and attendance
  • Strong experience calculation multiple commission statements
  • Fast and accurate data entry ability
  • Strong internal customer serviced focus
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
