As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining product vision and strategy based on customer needs and competitive landscape.

The Product Owner will be responsible for requirements development and requirements management in accordance to SDLC best practices. The Product Owner will act as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams. The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan and execute strategic initiatives to take complex projects from vision to reality, utilizing industry best practices. This is a highly agile environment, so 5+ years of experience within agile framework is a must.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Elicit, analyze and document complex business requirements.
  • Collaborate with teams to build the project justification (including cost benefit analysis and feasibility studies) and identify risks associated with each requirement.
  • Lead the appropriate teams to elicit and manage business requirements.
  • Assist in troubleshooting post implementation issues for large/complex projects.
  • Assist in project user acceptance test, including reporting and documenting defects, and conducting complex root cause analysis.
  • Facilitate the discussion that leads to the build versus buy decision.
  • Assist other personnel on assignments including mentoring or providing on-the-job training to more junior associates.
  • Work with team members to learn business analysis principles, patterns, processes and practices.
Qualifications Include:
  • 5+ years working in an agile framework for software development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years' experience using POS systems in a business analysis/product owner role.
  • Experience with Visio and Jira
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to all levels within the organization.
