Job Description


Senior architect is primarily responsible for leading architecture development and reviewing architecture operations.

A qualified candidate will have experience and skills in Portfolio/Segment and Solution Architecture; Information (Application & Data) Architecture and Technology Architecture. Specialization in healthcare Payer & Provider domain appreciated. Security Architecture or Integration Architecture also valued. Our client defines a Solution Architect as a specialist designer and influencer role in project and product solutions; responsible for Architecture Definition covering Business, Application, Data and Technology. Architect will cover 1 or more business domains; Hospitals, Medical Group, Health Insurance, Corporate, etc..). Position requires ability to understand and interpret business strategy, business vision, business processes, business rules and requirements. Architect position requires the ability to design and model services, information (applications, data) and infrastructure/technology. A qualified candidate will be proficient in modeling, design techniques and methods while governing solution design in alignment with enterprise standards and best practices. Candidate will be comfortable speaking to senior and mid-level executives inside and outside IT.

A key challenge for this position is consensus building of portfolio/segment architecture, solution architecture and technology architecture. Another key challenge is developing solution modeling techniques, design patterns, standards and best practices.

§ Technology or Architecture related degree:
  • with Bachelor's Degree - 10 years of work experience of which 7 should be in Architecture or engineering (5 years of which should be in Solution Architecture); or
  • with Master's Degree - 8 years of experience of which 7 should be as an Architect (4 years of which should be in Solution Architecture).
  • Architecture Tools (MEGA, Alfabet/ARIS, Sparx, Archi/Archimate, Visio)
  • UML / Object Oriented Analysis/Design (OOAD)
  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), EAI, ESB
  • Architecture training/certification (TOGAF, FEA, DoDaF)
  • As much of the following as possible: Security, Network, Infrastructure, Virtualization
  • Advanced knowledge of the Systems Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Understanding in Oracle, SQL Databases, Unix and Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Capable of pursuing multiple concurrent tasks in an autonomous work environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Microsoft Office Product Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Microsoft Project
