Job Description

Responsible for the logistical management and oversight of the day-to-day activities associated with the creative strategy, development, and processes for direct response television (DRTV).

Requires thorough knowledge of creative production, brand development, and the approval process; demonstrated ability to interpret data; ability to direct and multi-task effectively under tight deadlines; strong work ethic and ability to work independently. Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external relationships and the ability to successfully resolve conflict.

Requires the ability to create, manage and work within workflow processes. Must have a proven ability to interact with all levels of management and understand an organization's vision and strategy. Must possess the ability to generate creative ideas and to gather research or other information as needed for creative development. Must possess the ability to work in a high-pressure environment and to manage multiple projects with changing deadlines. Requires ability to work efficiently with minimal guidance and supervision, understand complex direct marketing procedures and processes as well as verbal or written instructions; understand word processing applications, including Word and Excel; knowledge ordinarily acquired through a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing or direct marketing creative experience including leading and implementing new projects or programs.


1. Plans and assists with the strategic planning and development for DRTV creative while working cross-divisionally with Creative Media Services, Brand Marketing, Multicultural Marketing, Digital, and the Patient team along with our external production partners to drive creative performance for DRTV.

2. Oversee the internal distribution of routing of creative for approval and coordinating creative for delivery to media partners.

3. Communicate program strategies to internal and external teams, including vendors and works with them to deliver multiple concepts that will achieve acquisition or fundraising objectives. Includes project timelines, routing and communicating proposed testing, retesting or rollout recommendations with internal stakeholders.

4. Works with the internal brand marketing team to ensure creative strategies are approved and follow brand guidelines. Also provides guidance as needed to ensure that appropriate processes are in place to successfully monitor performance and quality.

5. Ensures that all direct response television creative complies with state and federal regulations as well as Better Business Bureau best practices. Works with the Legal department to request and obtain substantiation documents and song clearance, etc. as needed.

6. Partner with digital teams to help develop direct response video through non-traditional media.

7. Assist in gathering key insights from creative performance to provide recommendations for new creative development and optimization. Provide monthly reports that include creative performance and key learnings to senior leadership as well as other internal and external partners.

8. Oversee production budget and agency management for external vendors concerning creative production, dubbing, etc.

9. Collaborate with Multicultural and Global divisions to develop creative strategies to help support revenue goals and strategic initiatives.

10. Collect informative data on sister charities and analyze their creative approach including premiums, call to action, music, testimonials, voiceover, etc.

11. Coordinates internal concepts and brainstorming sessions in order to generate ideas. Clearly articulates developed creative strategies with all stakeholders.

2. Performs job duties as assigned as part of the Business Continuity Management Program, including annual maintenance and testing of business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency response plans.
