Senior Tax Accountant in Richmond, VA at Vaco

Job Description

Vaco Richmond is looking for an Senior Tax Accountant for a public, dynamic and stable company in the Richmond area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare federal, state, and/or local tax returns.
• Prepare tax accruals in accordance with applicable financial or regulatory reporting requirements
• Gather information for financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting
• Particpate in internal and external audits of financial statements, regulatory filings, internal controls and tax returns.
• Research basis tax, accounting, or business issues
• Participate in special projects as needed

Skills and Education Needed:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA Preferred
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in tax or 4 years of public accounting or corporate tax department accounting experience
• Ability to multi-task, strong verbal and written communication skills and problem solve.
• Strong Excel skills
