Update - New Process Improvement - Project Management - Accounts Payable Transformation - Contract Role ($75 - $100/hr)

Vaco is searching for a Contract Shared Services / AP Transformation Project Manager to serve as our client's primary owner of the end-to-end P2P process with the overall goal of delivering P2P services while ensuring quality and cost effectiveness. The primary focus of this project will be a complete Accounts Payable Transformation (AP Transformation).

As a Consultant to our client's Financial team, this position plays a critical role in building the capability and standards of the P2P function and will support its development and sustainability by ensuring service delivery excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for P2P process and departmental functions such as vendor master maintenance, requisition/purchase order transaction processing, invoice processing, handling vendor and staff queries, related management reporting, and corresponding internal controls
  • Closely work with sourcing team and effectively manage the Requisition and PO compliance process
  • Be the key contact person (subject matter expert) for both the Financial Operations and Procurement departments.
  • AP Transformation - Collaborate with AP to ensure all payments are integrated into Accounts Payable and processed through the system having adhered to the Procure to Pay process
  • Participate and Lead in cross functional process and system improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Financial Operations to ensure the maintenance of a strong Controls environment
  • Accountable for controls found in the P&O standard related to P2P
  • Participate in any/all P2P policy changes/amendments enhancements in the P &O Standard working closely with Procurement governance team
  • Produce monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports as required

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Prior experience leading a Procure to Pay or Accounts Payable Transformation project (or similar such as order to cash or shared services transformation) a big plus
  • Shared Services leadership experience a big plus
  • Strong project management / process skills and certifications a plus (e.g. PMP, Six Sigma)
