The responsibility of the Application Development Manager is to supervise all technical functions of their assigned application development team (i.e. software development, unit testing, project planning, etc.), complete ongoing employee technical and career development, and act as the team's liaison with other areas of IT and divisions. In addition, they will recognize and understand company priorities and technological challenges, align team resources and goals, develop solutions, and ensure project completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Continuously exhibit and uphold Core Values of Integrity, Accountability, Communication and Teamwork, Innovation, and Customer Service
  • Establish and enforce software development standards
  • Research and recommend tools, methodologies, and frameworks to advance software development
  • Approve architectural and technical documentation prior to project development initiation when appropriate
  • Establish and meet target dates for approved projects
  • Drive entrepreneurial attitudes within the Development Team that seek out areas of programmatic and automation improvement
  • Evaluate and assign Service Desk tickets and escalate where appropriate
  • Assist with team budgeting
  • Perform code check ins for auditable applications and create all required documentation prior to production releases
