Job Description

Software QA Lead, $50-60K

Vaco Technology is assisting a client on the Northwest side of Indianapolis in their search for a full-time Software QA Lead. This position will be the first person in a QA role at the company and will leverage their testing background to perform manual testing, put processes in place, oversee the bug reporting and resolution process and work with third-party vendors. This role will be the point person for quality assurance.


  • Be the point of contact for product quality
  • Compose test plans and use cases and execute/oversee the testing process in a timely manner
  • Handle test planning for multiple and simultaneous projects
  • Work closely with development to understand key features and functionality for appropriate testing
  • In conjunction with team members, assist in recommending and implementing test processes and tools
  • Build a test case library from the ground up to help simply and improve current future testing efforts
  • Improve and oversee the bug reporting process, ensuring critical issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Oversee the handling of releases to the DevOps team
  • Assist in and work with the tech support team in monitoring 24/7 365 systems for timely customer issue resolution
  • Perform analyses on issue escalations, identifying ways to improve coverage and prevent repeating patterns


  • 3+ years of work experience in software QA
  • BS in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of mobile and desktop software QA processes
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies that cover testing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • This is a full-time opportunity with a salary range between $50-$60K
