Sr. Agile Coach

Location: Irvine



Responsibilities

What You'll do:
As an Agile Coach, you may have started as an engineer, tester, product owner or project manager and found yourself motivated by collaboration or facilitation. In this role you will be the catalyst to enable software delivery teams adopt agile and lean best practices and bring cross-functional teams together to innovate and solve amazing problems. You must be assertive, have a positive attitude and enthusiastic about Agile practices and mindset.

You must be able to dive deep and get in the trenches with a team to help the team while eliminating waste, improve testing practices and continuous improvement; as well as organizational agile growth and adoption in both process and testing. Additional responsibilities in this role includes:

  • Inspire innovative thinking amongst teams
  • Mentor multiple delivery teams on agile and lean industry best practices
  • Assess when a team is in trouble, and work with the team to course correct as necessary
  • Foster open and honest feedback and collaboration
  • Can coach at multiple levels (visionary, partner, facilitator, teacher, mentor, observer, advisor, lead by example)
  • Simplify and reduce waste

Qualifications

What to Bring:

  • 5+ years of project, product, or technical leadership in a software development environment
  • 2+ years of experience as a dedicated Lean Coach with a proven track record of Lean methodology implementation and process
  • Experience across multiple Agile frameworks (Kanban, Design Thinking, Lean, Scrum, XP)
  • Deep tool box of Lean and Agile processes, including inceptions, estimation, story slicing, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills

An Extra "Awesome"

  • Experience in Continuous delivery
  • Quality background and testing methods (BDD, TDD, Unit Testing and Automation)
  • Design thinking experience across clients, customers and tech
  • Storytelling skills
